In front of the garage there is a nice garden that serves as a parking lot and a garden. This property is located in a peaceful and quiet location in Drenova. It requires adaptation. The settlement of Drenova was created about 300 to 400 years ago, when the hamlets of Podbreg, Macani, Klanjci, Kablari, Brdina and a few others were formed, and the inhabitants of those small, scattered settlements were called Drenovčani. It got its name from the dogwood, a forest fruit tree that grows in the forests of Dogwood. A significant year in the history of Drenova, especially for the literacy of the inhabitants, is certainly the year 1838, when pastor Ivan Cvetko founded the church parish and began to gather and teach children literacy. With his efforts, the construction of the school began in 1844, which was completed and started working in 1852. Notable people who attended the Drenova school are: writer and journalist Ivo Grohovac-Riječanin and prof. Fran Franković, father of teachers in Istria, professor and director of the Teacher's School in Kastav, professor at the Teacher's School in Koper, author of "Croatian Primer" published in Vienna in 1911, founder of the Croatian People's Reading Room on Drenova in 1908.
